Zinc Lozenges 15 mg (with Vitamin C, Bee Propolis & Slippery Elm) – 60 Lozenges

Product Label Information:

  • Zinc Lozenges supply bioavailable zinc, sweetened with sorbitol and flavored with natural lemon extracts. Each tablet contains 15mg of elemental zinc in the form of zinc citrate and gluconate. May be a useful nutritional adjunct for individuals who wish to increase their intake of zinc

  • Slippery elm is believed to have many uses.  In this formulation, it may help sooth sore throat and cough.  Slippery elm contains mucilage, which is a sticky mixture of sugars that are not broken down by the digestive tract.  It coats the throat for the soothing effect.  Additionally, it may help improve cough.

  • General signs   of human zinc deficiency indicate that zinc has important functions in its supportive roles in maintaining proper immune function, reproduction, healthy skin, and growth

  • Like all rapidly dividing cells, immune cells depend on adequate amounts of dietary zinc

  • Zinc supplementation has been shown to increase the antioxidant activity of SOD (superoxide dismutase), and provide increased free radical protection. Zinc deficiency is associated with increased oxidative damage

  • Absorption of toxic heavy metals, especially cadmium and lead, is lower in individuals with high zinc status compared to those with low zinc status

  • Pregnant women are also at risk for zinc deficiency, since they have a higher requirement for this trace element

  • Frequently, vegetarians and chronically depressed individuals have been found to have low zinc status
